To accommodate more and more articles submitted to Lingua Journal, starting 2017 this journal will publish two issues a year. It will appear in January, and December. Every issue will contain 12-13 articles. The number of words for each article is between 4000 to 5000 words. The review process remains the same, blind review.

The purpose of Lingua Journal is to report research results about the role that education takes part in Engligh language education innovation. The spects of innovation covered in the journal include human development, social cohesion, resilience and environmental sustainability in English education.  Lingua Journal seeks to help make available new evidence-based understandings as to the nature of Englush education change in various settings. It focuses on the significance of global contexts in forming English language education and innovation.

Much attention is concentrated on school achievement and other empirical products of schooling besides a new awareness of English education's role in affecting community social cohesion and other social goals. The notion of development itself is broadening, both as a theoretical construct and in its policy and program manifestations. English language education is prominent in discussions and critiques of development.

Lingua Journal is concerned with English education in its broadest sense, including formal and non-formal modes, from preschool to adult education.  Lingua is interested in comparative studies as well as research and development that lead to new insights, have potential for policy impact, apply to broad range of settings. Lingua also considers papers that look at English education and development through the policies and practices of official development assistance and commercial education trade. Lingua welcomes papers from all prospective authors, especially from scholars and practitioners.
