PERANAN KODE ETIK PROFESI KEPERAWATAN DAN KOMPETENSI PRAKTIK DALAM PANDANGAN HUKUM TAHUN 2020
Abstract
Kesehatan adalah salah satu indikator kesejahteraan bangsa yang tercantum dalam Pembukaan Undang-undang Dasar RI Tahun 1945. Untuk mewujudkannya, diperlukan sumber daya manusia kesehatan, termasuk perawat yang harus profesional, yaitu yang memiliki standar profesi terdiri dari kode etik, pengetahuan, dan kompetensi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemahaman perawat tentang kode etik dan kecenderungan perawat melanggar hukum saat melakukan tindakan keperawatan. Metode peneltian: Menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif korelatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional, serta sampel berjumlah 38 mahasiswa. Instrumen memakai kuesioner. Analisis data memakai univariat (%) dan bivariat dengan uji Chi-square (α = 5%). Hasil penelitian: Pemahaman mahasiswa tentang kode etik yang baik sebanyak 55,3% dan yang memiliki kompetensi sebanyak 55,3%, nilai Chi-square adalah 8,215 > 3,841, serta nilai odd ratio 7,680. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara pemahaman kode etik dengan kompetensi praktik. Perawat yang mahir praktik akan lebih paham kode etik 7,68 kali dibandingkan perawat yang tidak mahir. Saran: Tingkatkan kompetensi dan kode etik profesi melalui jalur pendidikan yang lebih tinggi dari pendidikan sarjana.
