Perlindungan Hukum Notaris Dalam Penerapan Prinsip Mengenali Pengguna Jasa Untuk Harmonisasi Tercapainya Ketertiban Umum

Abstract

Article 1 point 1 of the Law of Notary Profession states that a Notary is a public official authorized to make authentic deeds and other authorities as referred to in the Law of Notary Profession. One of the obligations of a Notary is to keep confidential everything regarding the Deed he/she makes and all information obtained for the purpose of making the Deed in accordance with the oath/pledge of office, unless the law determines otherwise, known as the "Principle of Confidentiality". Notary as a profession that provides services is expected to be one of the anticipators of money laundering with the additional obligation of the Know Your Customer Principle for Notaries based on Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 9 of 2017.
